Tragically, Rush's favorite player has been suspended for fifty games due to drug abuse. Donnie Sadler, a minor leaguer with the D-Backs, is hitting his customary low .200's average this season.

The article isn't clear but if it was steroids I'm sure they would've mentioned "performance-enhancing". So I'm left to guess amphetamines first and then harder stuff second.
Drugs???? what could donnie possibly be using? It certainly isn't performance enhancing.
